Okay, first of all...We are aware that the only people who will probably read this blog are our parents! And possibly Audrey & Chels ;) We wanted to start this together so that we could both write while we are home together and separated (which is quite often you all know!). Trevor can write from TDY/deployment/training and I can write from the "home front!"
So where did the name "Team Finnell" come from?? I was inspired to use this name by our small group at Grace Bible. The group is about 6-8 married couples that are all 20-something years old...some with young kids, some without! We absolutely love it and feel so blessed to have found such a great place for us to learn and grow in our new marriage! So back to the title... we have adopted this tradition where everyone in our small groups refers to couples by "Team...." So when we send out emails about food, etc. we always sign the bottom of our emails "Team Finnell" We even sometimes refer to couples by "team" in person, it's quite hilarious to be honest! What's even more entertaining is that since on any given week at least 3-4 husbands are gone, us wife's will sign something like "Team Finnell...aka Allison for the next 3 weeks ;)"
So this will be a place where you guys can see the places we are living (I'm sure there will be several eventually), ministries that we are involved in, and I'm sure that there will be quite a bit of picture posting! I have been inspired while reading married couples blogs who started their blog when they first got married and they blogged all the way from their wedding, their first home together, different trips they've taken, and now are blogging about pregnancies and babies (yup, I said it! Get excited for that someday ;) Most of all, I want this to be a place where we can blog about what God is doing in our life! There are so many things that He has given us purpose for already in this city & I can't wait to write about them!
